myodbc-installer: error while loading shared libraries: libodbc.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Tableau on Ubuntu 16.04 is not much of an issue until you require a MySQL connector. This solution is not well documented and it took me almost an hour to find it. Run the two commands below then restart your steps installing the mysql-connector-odbc.
sudo apt-get install libodbc1 sudo apt-get install odbcinst1debian2
